He played in the 2023 Rugby World Cup and is currently playing for the Stormers. His performance levels stepped up, earning him the URC fan player of the year as well as the Newcomer of the Year award. He is engaged to his “day one” woman, Verna-Lee Arries. They are tying the knot later this year.
